So I haven't updated in a very long time. So much has happened in our little house. We've had birthdays, school functions, dance competitions, holidays. We've had alot of fun times, and some not so fun times. Hopefully I will get back to updating more often. I cherish the wonderful time that I get to spend with my family. I think as I get older and people I love around me have hard times, I realize that things can always change in a blink of an eye. More to come soon. Love you all!

Sorry I havn't posted for a while. Things are crazy around here as usual. Trin is still traveling, we had lots of year end school stuff. The two oldest girls are performing at the Stadium of Fire, so we've had alot of rehearsals for that. And trying to keep up on the house for showings. Now on that note we have some great news, we've sold our house. We have to be out by Aug 1st so it is happy house hunting. I will be looking at homes by myself because Trin is out of town. It is kind of sad to think we're leaving the house where we have brought all of our kids home from the hospital to. (Except Tylar) I am excited for this new adventure in our lives and welcome the change.

Ashtyn graduated preschool. She absolutely loved it. She is going to miss her teachers so much. She learned alot and made alot of friends. We made year end gifts for the teachers. I think they turned out pretty cute, since I am so not the artsy crafty kind of girl.

The girls got to ride in the Pony Express Days Parade. I walked and handed out flyers for the studio. Ashtyn is so cute in her costume. She did a year end recital and of coarse I didn't take any pictures of her.

The girls had a dance competition up at Lagoon. We took the whole family and had a day of fun. It's amazing how much Tylar and Makelle look alike. It is always fun to keep in touch with old friends. Tylar doesn't have alot in our neighborhook, they have all moved. We try and get her together with Makelle and Alyssa as much as possible.

Dylainy and Megan won Queen for their duet!! I'm so proud of them. I do have to admit I'm glad the dance season is over.

McKayden is such a sweet young man. He is such a sport to come and watch to support his sisters. Luckily he had some fun that day too. He is not much for the big rides but sure had fun.

I had a wonderful mothers day! The kids were so sweet. Trin made me breakfast, than they gave me their cute present that they made at school. I love turtles so they gave me a couple to put out front in the flower bed. Collyn thinks it is a great seat. Funny boy!
I am so thankful for the wonderful family that I have. That my Heavenly Father trusted me with these sweet spritis. I love them all so much. Thanks for a wonderful day!

This past weekend we had the opportunity to go to St George for a dance competition. We were all so excited for some warm weather and the chance to swim. We had a blast and the girls did great. Lainy took first place for her duet. This is the first time she has taken first place at St. George. Tylar took a 2nd and a 4th. (Which I have to say was crap) and Lainy took a 1st and 2nd place with an overall Grand Champ. Trin drove up from Vegas and met us at the hotel. It sure was a great little vacation.

So here are a few pictures of what the hurricane has been up to.

He chases the poor cat through the house, and loves to hold her. Poor kitty!! We went to St George over the weekend for the girls dance. He loved riding on the luggage dolly. We had to pry him off of it. He loves to swim, and drive his trucks. More than anything he loves to throw things whether it is a toy or his food. He is such a naughty little boy.

Spanish Fork Competition!!!

The girls had a dance competition in Spanish Fork. They both did a very good job and I am so proud of how well they both did. Lainy did her duet and won first place. Lainy's team won 2nd place for Imagine and a first place for Oh so Quiet. Oh so Quiet also won an overall Grand Champion. Which means they were the 2nd highest point out of all the Mini dances. Tylar's team took a 1st place for Cotton Eye Joe, and a 2nd place overall. Hold your hand also took 1st. Way to go girls. I am so thankful for Misty and all the hard work she puts into making our girls the best they can be. I just realized I don't have any pictures of Tylar at this competition. She was on her own for a bit while I finished Lainys dances up. So I didn't have time to get some pictures. OOPS!!

Knowledge Bowl!!

Both Tylar and McKayden participated in the Knowledge Bowl. It is their second year competing. It is alot of practice answering questions and studying certain subjects. This year was the arts so they studied composers and musical instruments. There were plenty of other things to study thank goodness there were other members on the team that had those. McKayden was put as team captain. It was a fun couple Saturdays, but I'm glad the Tues and Thursday practices are over.

Lainy's team did a jazz dance to Oh So Quiet. They took 2nd place. They also did a lyrical dance to Imagine. They took a 1st in Imagine and also won a high point overall. They did such a good job and we are so excited to see what this years competition holds for her team. Tylars team also did very well. They took 2nd place in their lyrical dance (Hold your Hand) and a 1st place in their jazz (Cottoneye Joe).

So it has begun. Competition season is here. Our first competition was at Thanksgiving Point. Lainy did her duet on Friday and than they did their team dances on Sat. They scored high enough to win a first place queen. Way to go girls!!!

We've unleashed a monster!!! This little boy loves to wear jerseys play ball and watch Nascar or monster trucks whichever is on at the moment. He loves to wear hats like his daddy. It will be interesting to see if he remains a sports enthusiast as he gets older. He is such a funny happy go lucky kind of kid. He is just starting to become a handful.

Tylar had her wax museum at school. She decided to be Anne Frank. She read everything she could find. I had the opportunity to go to Anne Franks house when we were in Amsterdam so I had some brochures she read also. She did a very good job and enjoys doing artsy kind of stuff.

Dylainy was invited to run for class president after a preliminary vote landed her in the top 4 of her class. She had to write a speech and make a poster. She did such a good job. She won and is now President of her class. Way to go Dylainy!!!

My baby girl Ashy turned 5 on Feb 2nd. I can call her that because she is my last girl. She is such a fun outgoing little girl with a whole bunch of drama. She loves going to preschool everyday, and I am thankful that she goes everyday. She is well liked by the other kids in her class and is excited to start kindergarten next year. We already went and did her check up she had 4 shots and didn't even cry. What a brave girl. She was diagnosed this past month with migraines. So we have had a few visits to the dr. office this last month because of that. If she has another one we are going up to Primary Childrens to see what we can figure out. She never complains. We love her and are so grateful to have her in our family. Happy Birthday Ashtyn!!!

So much has happpened over the last month or so. What a crazy life I lead! Trinity has started traveling again and instead of staying home with the kids and being taken off the schedule at Smith's I took a promotion. So I work 30 hrs a week besides driving carpool for dance, tumbling, football, and after school activities. Thank goodness I have some good friends that help me out when I need it. So here goes I'll try and update everthing that has happended.

Ashtyn had a recital at the end of her first session of dance. They are so cute at that age. This is Misty her dance teacher. She's the best! We all just love her. We spent our Thanksgiving weekend in Vegas. McKayden played in the Pigskin Football Tournament. He played 3 games and had a blast. It was warm enough to take the kids swimming. There is nothing better than playing football in November. I usually go shopping the day after Thanksgiving with my friend Angela and her mom and sister, but since we weren't in town Trin and I went and waited in line at the WalMart in Mesquite. We went the night before so we knew where stuff was and than got up at 3:30 and headed to get in line. We ended up getting everything we wanted and were in and out in an hour.

San Diego and Game Day!!

Trin and I had the chance to fly down to San Diego with some friends and see a Chargers game. I don't really have a favorite NFL Team but love to watch football and how could we pass up the chance to go to a NFL game?? So my sister watched the kids (thanks sis) and we headed down for the weekend.
That is one full stadium.

Our friends Ryan and Debbie Hibbert. (Thanks for the plane tickets) Can you tell it was a chillie experience.

McKayden was invited to play in the Pro Bowl along with 7 other members from his team.

They played the Saturday Trin and I went to San Diego to watch the Chargers play. We were sad to miss the game but he was in good hands. His Aunt Neisha came down to take him. He had fun and played a good game... We have one more tournament left and than football season will be over. We're going down to Las Vegas to play in the Pigskin Tournament over Thanksgiving. (I'm sure I'll post pictures when it happens)

We ended up going to the ward party the kids all dressed up. Tylar was Bob Marley, not sure where she picked that one up. Mckayden was Commander Cody, Collyn was Darth Vader, Thanks Dad, and Ashtyn was a dancin princess I guess. Dylainy was a pirate but I have no pictures of her she had dance this night and the night of halloween she went with a friend and than spent the night. The kids had fun.. So did mom and dad.

Softball in Mesquite

Our niece KyRae was in a softball tournament in Mesquite so we decided to drive down and spend the night. We stayed at Connie's house, we took the kids swimming, ate the best ribs ever, and watch 7 softball games. KyRae's team took 2nd place. Way to go KyRae!!!!

So we've been doing alot of football. McKayden has had practices twice a week and games on Saturdays. His team took 3rd place and he made the Pro-Bowl, which is an invitation only game, so we were excited about that he'll play that this Saturday.

Collyn has started walking quite a big in the last day or 2. He still crawls alot it is quicker for him. I just love it when he tries to walk. So stinkin cute. Thank goodness for cushy diapers. If you listen close you can hear him breathing. This kid is the noisiest breather on the planet.

Collyn turned 1 on September 29th. We did a birthday party for him the day before with family. The next day I took him to McDonalds for his 1st happy meal. A little cheesy I know but I had to do something for him on his real Bday. Can I just say this has been the sadest day of my life. My little baby is not so much a baby.
As you can see he had a blast eating his cake. I finally had to take it away so he wouldn't get a tummy ache. He sure was angry. He just loved the frosting.
My sweet little man. He has such a wonderful personality and is happy all the time. (Except when his tummy says it's hungry) The boy sure can eat. If you look close you can see his little teeth. He has gotten 4 in the last month. I was starting to wonder if he would ever get any.
I had to put this one on. This is a rarity. If any of you know Trin you know he does not like his picture taken, but here you go. You just have to throw a kid in the picuture and he's all for it. Trin is a wonderful father. Collyn is his little buddy. He sure loves his daddy!

We took the kids to the State Fair. I can't remember the last time I went. I think it was Trin and I were dating. The kids sure had fun. Ashtyn exclaimed, "This is the best day of my whole life!." Wow imagine that something so simple can make a 4 year olds life!!
Collyn had a blast he loved seeing the animals and enjoyed is giant corndog for lunch.
Can you tell Dylainy is terrified?? Wow the things that scare a 7 year old.

Campin' at Strawberry!!!

We packed up the kids and headed up to Strawberry for a weekend with my family. We have done this the last 3 years and the kids sure have fun playing with their cousins. We tent it but Trinity says this is the last year we will be doing that. I don't mind it but it is hard with 5 kids to tent it. So we'll see if we end up buying a trailor. I can think of other things I could spend the money on.

Collyn sure loved his first camping trip. Last year was so much easier, they're not so much work when their in you tummy. But he had fun eating corn on the cob and smores. Boy what a mess he can make.
Nice fish Tylar!!! Fishing with Grandpa is always the highlight of the trip. I think all of the kids caught a fish. Dylainy caught an Albino Cutthroat. What a weird looking fish that was. They never quite get enough time in the boat. We can't wait for next years trip.

As you can see I have a couple boys that just love football. Collyn chases the football around the house and likes to throw it to whom ever is around. Hopefully for his birthday we can find a football just his size.
McKayden is on the 49ers this year. He plays center on the O and defensive end on the D. He loves playing and it sure keeps us busy.

I haven't posted anything new for a while. If I'm not at football (3 days a week), tumbling or work I'm in my bed. (and dance hasn't even started yet which is 4 days a week) So here goes trying to think back on what has gone on in our life the last little bit. McKayden had a birthday he turned 9 on Aug 20th. Lainy got moved up to advanced tumbling since she got her round off back handspring. :) Ashtyn has started Pre-K over at the Elementary 4 days a week. Tylar is looking forward to her birthday on Sept 11th. Off coarse they all started school. Yeah!!! (Although I miss my adopted daughter Alyssa because she thinks she has to go to school) And Collyn is standing on his own, so we're just counting down the days until he starts walking on his own. I bottled some chili sauce talk about an all day afair. But I can't wait to have some! Trin is still up to the same old work and taking care of the kids while I work evenings. He is such an awesome dad. I'll post some pictures soon.

We were headed for a walk tonight when it started raining. Of coarse the kids ran out and started running through the puddles. As you can see Collyn thought it was great. We couldn't get Ashtyn out of the garage. Apparently there was a dog out. All of the sudden she is scared to death of them.

For the 4th of July we went down to the Stadium of Fire. As you can see Ashtyn had a blast. It was pretty windy when we first got there. We were worried about the fireworks and if they would do them. The weather calmed down and what a fireworks display it was.

For Fathers day we went up Provo canyon and had a picknick then we walked up to Bridal Veil Falls.
You can't tell but this log was out in the river. Trinity had to carry the kids out one by one. By the time he was done he couldn't feel his legs. After I took the picture Trin was carrying the kids back to the shore and pulled McKayden in. He got soaking wet and needless to say it was cold really cold so the rest of the evening that is all we heard about. Thanks Trin!!!

The kids played at the bottom of the falls in the little pond. As usual Ashtyn managed to fall in, so that cut our trip short. She was freezing. It was a fun day. Happy Fathers day to the best dad in town.

So Trinity has been gone for 48 days straight. He drove straight home from Bonners Ferry, Idaho it is a 13 hour drive. He was so excited to get home he drove straight through. He got home early Thursday morning. We are so glad to have him home. Hopefully he'll be home for a while. He is supposed to be home for the summer, but with his job you never know things could change tomorrow.

You may recognize this bridge, it was in A River Runs Through It. Only 5 people are allowed on it at a time. It is outside of Troy, Montana.

Also at the reunion they had a rock climbing wall. We used to go climbing quite a bit but not for a while. The kids did great all 3 got to the top. Ashtyn didn't want to try. They loved it and can't wait to do it again.

2nd Ward Reunion.

Also on Saturday I took the kids to the 2nd Ward reunion. Most of our old neighbors and friends have moved away. I figured it would be a good chance for the kids to see some old friends and get rid of some energy. Tylar loved seeing friends she doesn't get to play with alot. This is Tylar, Alyssa, Makelle, and Brecca.

Dance Recital

The girls had their dance recital last Saturday. They all did a wonderful job. Ashtyn in her adorable costume. She did a tap dance to Shake Your Tail Feather.

Lainy's dance teacher Misty (who's the best) took her class up to Sweet and Sassy because they won the 6 foot trophy (even though they had to rechoreograph their dance due to a missing child) for those of you that don't know it is a salon for little girls they do your hair, makeup and hair. Tylar got to go also and here is some cute video of them together. (I hope)

K I haven't posted for a while-reason- plain and simple I'm too dumb for this type of technology. I went and bought a new camcorder because (if you haven't heard) Trin is gone and has been for about a month and has another month left before he comes home (Surprise surprise). He is missing out on alot of the kids end of school year activities and I thought it would be fun for him to jump on our blog and watch some videos. Maybe that way he wouldn't be so homesick. Well what was I thinking I can't get the dumb movies to download onto the blog. So if any of you smart people out there have any advise I would love to hear it.

Recently on KSL they did a story about a little boy named Charlie Cooper. He is just a year old and contracted bacterial meningitis and has been at primary childlrens hospital for 3 months. His story just broke my heart. What a beautiful little boy with such a fighting spirit. He reminds me how lucky I am to have 5 healthy, beautiful children. Granted they each have their days when I think, "what was I thinking" but never would change anything. I love each and everyone with all of my heart. Oh the beautiful St George

We had the opportunity to go to St. George for the weekend. The girls had a dance competition down there. How how warm!!! Trinity was in California so I sent a few kids to my sisters and the girls, the baby and I went down by ourselves. It was so much fun we swam and swam and did i mentioned we swam. Collyn just loved it. The girls took first in all 4 of their dances, and both of their teams took the overall highpoint awards-hence the 6 foot trophy in the picture.

It has been crazy at our house. It is dance season and with two girls on competition teams it has been crazy. Dylainy has also been doing a duet this year with her good friend Meagan. Both girls dance teams have done really well taking many first and a few second places. Dylainys duet has taken first in 3 of her competitions and a 2nd in another. It is a fun family affair and as parents we are very proud of our beautiful girls.

Missing Someone
